Starting in December 2018, W Shanghai implemented LAIBA products into their cocktail program.

Thanks to LAIBA products, the property, which is famous for having a strong cocktail program, can offer a wider variety of cocktails for events and functions than in the past. Several of their F&B venues run high-volume operations, such as the weekend brunch at THE KITCHEN TABLE, which receives 130 to 200 covers every Sunday.

"We mainly use LAIBA for our high-volume events where it’s all free-flow. At these events, people drink, drink, and drink, and operations have always been quite difficult for us. To give you an understanding, for brunch every Sunday we have around 130 to 200 people coming, and we generally serve over 400 cocktails in one afternoon, so you can imagine in a 3-hour period there’s a lot of drinks to be made. Obviously, that includes a variety of gin tonics, but at the same time we have a good variety of actual cocktails that needs crafting and LAIBA products have allowed us to be a lot faster, a lot more consistent while keeping a speedy service."

"As a 5-star luxury hotel, we want to have consistent quality products we can offer our guests at all times. But like many other properties in China and around the world, we have an issue with staffing. We don’t have a lot of full-time staff and depending on the time of the year, about 40-60% of our total manning are trainees. These trainees generally join us for 3 to 6 months and in the beginning they can’t deliver the service we require, so obviously, they need to be trained."
